Theresa Stevens embodies a seamless blend of Eastern and Western influences, offering a distinctive perspective that enriches the world of Feng Shui. Born in America and nurtured in the vibrant landscapes of the Far East, her journey unfolded amidst the bustling cities of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore. In later years, she returned to China to live and work as a design professional, accumulating over a decade of experience in the Far East.

In the dynamic realm of design, Theresa’s expertise shines through her impactful work in Southeast China, specifically in Hong Kong and the historically vibrant Shantou district in Guangdong Province. Here, she created exquisite silk florals décor, Christmas and holiday-themed home décor, leaving an indelible mark on the global market.

As a steward of the environment, Theresa is the proud owner and operator of a specialty landscaping design business in New York, where her focus lies on native planting and ecological practices. Her commitment to sustainable design echoes in every facet of her work.

In the intricate world of Feng Shui, Theresa holds certifications from esteemed institutions, including the Joey Yap Consulting Group KL, Malaysia, and Kathryn Weber Industries. A devoted student of Grandmaster Lillian Too in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She has also delved into the profound realms of Jyotish Vedic Astrology under the guidance of renowned astrologer Upma Shrivastava.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Theresa has a rich tapestry of experiences. She honed her skills as a photographer, studying old-school SLR Black/White and Color Photography at Bard College, under the tutelage of Stephen Shore and Doug Baz. Additionally, she contributed significantly to the floral industry as an importer and wholesale distributor of rare Asian orchids in Boston, importing perishable cut flowers from Holland and exquisite orchids from Singapore and Thailand.

Her diverse talents extend to wholesale flower distribution across the Northeastern USA, innovative retail mail order services, and the establishment of the renowned floral design business “Exotics and Orchids” in Scarsdale, NY. Theresa’s artistic prowess shines through her role as a design consultant for special events, contributing to magazine layouts in Bride’s and Elle Decor, and adding a touch of creativity to numerous weddings and WJCS fundraisers.

With a broad knowledge base spanning business creation, entrepreneurship, Feng Shui, design, and education, Theresa is a polymath in every sense. Fluent in English, French, Japanese, and Chinese (Beijing hua and Guangdong hua), her educational journey includes Master Level Floral Special Event Design,  Landscape Design and Horticultural Environmental Awareness programs at the New York Botanical Gardens and a BA in Liberal Arts from Bard College.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Theresa engages in a vibrant sporting life, participating in competitive sailing regattas, downhill and Cross Country skiing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, biking, scuba diving, snorkeling, to name a few. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring artistic endeavors such as painting, photography, medicinal and herbal gardening, and knitting. She looks forward to studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Alternative Therapies. She is also deeply committed to philanthropy, serving as a horticultural advisor and director for Friends of Crawford Park, and as the creator and design staging coordinator of the “Music at the Mansion” benefit concert series, dedicated to the beautification of Crawford Park.
